Over the last two months, we’ve talked a lot on this blog about how the current pandemic is affecting people’s lives at home. Today, though, we’d like to talk a little more about some practical steps we can take while we’re outside our homes – shopping for essential items. Giving a little extra thought and planning for this activity can help to keep our homes free from this virus.
For example, when you’re thinking about the things you need to get, you might ask yourself if it’s possible to order the items online, through a delivery service, or even if you could wait and go shopping at a later time. Options like these may mean a small increase in price, but it’s a small price to pay when compared with the health of yourself and your family.
Additionally, while you’re out, it may be a good idea to wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes with you, and use touchless payment methods if possible.
Things like this require a little extra planning, but they may be very important when you’re out shopping during this pandemic.
